Im sure this has been asked but I cant see it. Can the Pilot and copilot roles be swapped ?

No with FS2Crew your always the Captain and PF and the FO is always the PNF.

Didn't one of the original FS2Crews (LDS?) allow the FO to do the takeoff, and some other segments?

Yes, the FO could do the takeoff, but he crashed a lot. So the FO takeoffs are suspended till I can find a way to make him a better "pile-it".

 

Generally speaking, though, swapping roles per se is impossible because how is the Computer Pilot Flying going to know what to do.

 

Ever flight would need to be totally scripted, and even that would be very dicey given the fluid nature of Flightsim.

 

This is why airplanes don't fly by themselves without human intervention - yet!
