737 Freighter

Featured Replies

Hi everyone and PMDG

I know PMDG was asked at a recent flightsim conference if they will ever make the classics. They wont, which is fine cause CS and Wilco covers those models. What i would like though from PMDG and given that the -700 is an upgraded -300, is a -700F like the -300F. CS has the freighter pack but its only a -200. Wilco only has airliners unless i missed something. I know there is no real -700F, but for fun i think it would be cool flying a -700F or making as if its a -300F. All we need is a moded fuselage with a nice big cargo door on the left.

Cheers

Reben

+1 on that, we could use some freighters...

Two miles of road can take you two miles. Two miles of runway can take you anywhere in the world

I don't believe PMDG would develop a fictitious aircraft. Someone could do a freighter livery using the paint kit.

So you're asking pmdg to develop a ''fake'' aircraft? I guess you'll wait for a loooong time. Also, where would they take all the datas?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It is ok to dream! Truthfully, a 737 Freighter isn't all that fictional. Look at the Navy's C-40 (737 combi) I would like to see a 737-600 winglets, which also isn't that fictional - look at all the 737-500s with winglets. In reality, these airplanes aren't that fictional. I'm tired of people constantly saying PMDG won't make a fictional aircraft - they might not now, but you never know what will happen 1-2 years down the road.

Here is a 737-700, that can be used to carry PAX or freight, or a combination of both.

all i'm saying is take for example the 700 and add a big cargo door. Doesnt have to be 100% realistic. I dont really think that a normal 300 differs that much froma 300F except for carrying more cargo. Also waiting/looking forward for PMDG's BBJ addons and so on!!!

If an opening cargo door is not required then a cargo version is doable right now. I have already uploaded a Northern Air Cargo -600 and -700 as well as a Cargoair -700. All have an outline on the fuselage to show where the cargo door would be.
