Featured Replies

Universal LandClass: 268MB, now available for free download in marketplace.

Preparation for Alaska?

Just downloaded and installed to around 700mb. Now it has disappeared from the marketplace under Flight but can still be can found by doing a search.

I "bought" it. It’s a free download.

But I don't know if I should install it, it keeps disappearing from the web page. (most every time I refresh)

Update: Downloading, very slow........

Its availavle again on the xbox page

Is it on the Microsoft Flight games marketplace, might be a safer place to download it at this stage

I downloaded it directly from Marketplace for Windows Live, took about 3 min.

Installed it but never seemed to change anything....anyone else notice any changes?

Those are just texture files and the associated autogen annotations. Not used in Hawaii.

No gameplay changes detected.

Only thing I noticed is a new entry (Folder + Files) in the Game Add-ons Directory

vvv Mike is correct, there are 5 new achievements,

It added three landing achievements. There is now 38.

I wonder if they will release Alaska pack by pack within the next couple of days

Took me less than a couple of minutes... Smooth!

Will try to play the additional landing achievements ASAP :-)

Where? Under GFWL? That is independent of this LC pack. They must have been put up for Alaska.

I see a couple of new ones. One that caught my eyes is:

Liquid Airstrip: Perform a water assisted landing in a non-amphibious aircraft.

Just like they do in Flying Wild Alaska where Jim is landing on those sandy river banks using water for slowing down.

That guy is my hero lol

Hawaii is surrounded by sea. Alaska isn't. When you leave Alaska it's nice to still see something and not just ugly greenish lifeless 'ground': I think that's what this is for. It will simply fill up the world (everything outside the Flight regions) with something that at least gives the impression something is there. This also explaines that you won't notice any difference in Hawaii after installing this.

Where did you find that? Under "Missions" or under "Challenges" ???

Mine shows nothing new (?)
