May 27, 200422 yr I flew a Skywarriors T-34 a few years back, when E3 was in Atlanta, from KFTY. Amazingly cool experience. The blue livery for the Alphasim T-34B is the Skywarriors plane I flew. It looks great on the T-34. Would love to see someone do that livery for the Carenado bird.I downloaded it, but I'm in the midst of a Windows reinstall, so it'll be tonight before I can check it out. Anxious to compare it to the real thing! The Alphasim T-34 package is nice, too, if you're a fan of the plane. Not as detailed as Carenados, but I've been having fun with it for the past couple of weeks. The handling matches my memory of the T-34, and they include a turboprop T-34C, which Carenado lacks. Buy 'em both! :-)
May 27, 200422 yr > I don't know why but I love how this plane looks and am probably> going to buy it regardless, but I was just curious. For me it's exactly the other way round, I find this plane quite ugly, but I guess after these raving responses I should think about getting it ... thanks for the info!VOlker :]

May 27, 200422 yr Hardly any FPS loss at all on my end. Others I have spoken to also report the same.:) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
May 28, 200422 yr >What are the Flight Dynamics like on this aircraft?>>Does it spin, slip realistically etc?>I figure that ....... that is RealAir's present realm, while Dreamfleet has an edge on photo/computer modified panels, and Carenado having some excellent exteriors. At the moment, I don't get too upset if a model doesn't possess all three of these characteristics............. because none of them do!L.Adamson
May 28, 200422 yr Well, I never spun the T-34A I flew, but from memory the flight characteristics feel right on. Accelerated stalls when pulling too hard, basic stability, etc.And I'd be hard-pressed to find anything to complain about on the panels. The interior's amazing. This comes darn close to satisfying all three of your desires, methinks.
May 28, 200422 yr Only minor gripe I have is I wish they had put in a more updated panel. Go anywhere on the net and you can see examples of these old 1950's birds still flying, but most have at least a more modern cockpit. Would be a nice add on feature for one of you panel gurus!I'd like to have the option of both old and new panels!Eric AND
May 28, 200422 yr Just took her for a first flight and certainly very nice... but am I the only one who feels there's too much "float" when trying to get the wheels back onto the runway? With a notch or two of flaps I found the plane actually climbing a bit with 0 throttle as I tried to put it down, then suddenly that climb turns to a stall and it drops. No smooth transition of a nose up attitude with some altitude loss.Of course I've never flown the real thing, but somehow I'd think this bird would be more eager to lose altitude, but it lands almost like a glider. Best,Joel
May 28, 200422 yr One more note on the above post- speed showing not more than 60 knots during the above behavior.Joel
May 30, 200422 yr Brand new airplane ....not 2 hrs. on the hobbs and I'm having problems with the gear indicator not showing down. With the gear lever in the "down" position I'm getting "barber poles" indicating the gear is in transit. I had it on jacks and swung the gear a few times and can't get a wheels down indication. Must be the indicator.Back to the factory!
May 30, 200422 yr Joel,I just made a few landings myself. No problems at all. In fact I could land the plane on very small obstructed landing strips, e.g. 6S9 in Washington, without a problem. Are your realism settings as described in the manual?Cheers,Henri
May 30, 200422 yr I desperately want to buy this aircraft... Unfortunately I'm getting a nasty error on the web site when I try to click the "Proceed to checkout" button. I sent them an email via their contact email address, and it actually bounced. What the hey?
May 30, 200422 yr Try deleting your cookie for the site. Saw mention elsewhere that that's what was causing problems for a lot of folks.
May 31, 200422 yr Bingo Denny. Exactly right. I had this problem when I wanted to upgrade my FS2002 Bonanza. Deleting the cookie was what I needed to do as per advice of Carenado tech support.Eric AND
