Buying the NGX expansion for NGX(The -600 and -700)

Featured Replies

Hi PMDG. If I were to buy the NGX Expansion from your website is it possible to back this up? If I were to buy the package online then say if I were not to have an internet connection or say the PMDg(pls dun flame me) doesnt exist any more. Can I just reinstall the expansion package using a P/W. I am asking this as I have never bought PMDG online before. I always get the hardcopy from Aerosoft as I am afraid of another PSS case.

Actually I was wondering if there are any BBJs and Miltary versions of the B737 to be out as well. It is strange that why Aerosoft hasnt released the NGX expansion pack yet until today.

Version "BBJ and military" will be available after the release of the B777 in SP2.

I contacted aerosoft, and the answer was no. It will not come out the 600/700.

The 600/700, you can only buy it on the site of PMDG.

You can back up any PMDG product to any multimedia device such as a hard drive, CD, or flash drive.

But it says that we can would need an internet connection to install it. What if say PMDG doesn`t exist any more?

So

You can back up any PMDG product to any multimedia device such as a hard drive, CD, or flash drive.

Hope you realise that you need to have purchased the 800 pack prior to purchasing the 700/600 pack

Yes. I have the NGX pack. I just have no confidence as I have never bought a fully downloaded package for a long time. Had a bad experience with PSS last time. So is it an excecutable file with just a P/W for installation?

Yes but you only get a set number of installs. So if you use them up you have to request a new activation key from the pmdg site. They won't charge you for this though. Just make sure you keep a backup of the pack though or you will be paying agin if you lose the file or don't purchase the extented download service.

Yes, you can install again from the same installer but as mentioned you can only activate the product a certain number of times before needing a new key from PMDG. This however is the same even with a copy on CD/DVD, so in your theoretical situation where PMDG would not exist anymore, the download would still be just as good.

Just make sure you save a copy of the installer on a separate hard drive, or even better on a CD/DVD/USB drive and it will be just as good as the boxed version.
