July 27, 201213 yr Hi Ray. Once you physically connect the three monitors with its three native resolution.. just test all the monitors are working idependently. By default, All three would be a duplicate...If I remember correctly. Then using nvidia display setting select the three and and set it up as one big monitor. I am not sitting in front of my FSX PC.. so I don't know the specifics right now....but its all in there. Then it would give you an option for bezel management ..,,...do that as well Then when you exit.. just right click on the empty part of the screen and select set resolution. You may see a slider for changing resolution for that single virtual screen....make sure that slider is way up. Then in FSX, change the resolution settings there as well. then when you exit fsx, check your FSX.cfg has only the last entry for video card with the right resolution and remove any previous settings if there is any. Thats it. ================================================== PC Build. ========= Prefered sequence... Hmmm. You may want to google for some professional instructions on how to build a PC. But here is my overall things to do. open box, check everything and make sure you have an anti static environment... if you want spray some water in the room... yes...dry air is static filled and take other precausions.... Place you motherboard from the anti static bag that it came in and place it on on the anti static bag on the table top Then , open the CPU pin on your MB leave the plastic cover in and check for any borken or bent pins... if you find any... if everything looks good place the CPU (aligned properly) into the CPU slot carefully and aligned properly without bending any pins Now, remove the plastic CPU cover and keep it safe. You would need this for removing and replacing the CPU and also for RMAing your MB if needed. Secure the CPU. place the pin to hold the CPU to the MB. There are You tube videos for this... Go over them while waiting for your stuff to arrive Follow instructions to place your cooler and secure that. Insert the memory into the BLUE slots (not the black ones.. the black one is only for the 3rd and 4th memory) Prepare your PC Case... and hook up your PSU to the case and organize the cables etc visualizing which connector you would need for what. Also place the stand ins in those holes for the ATX motherboard. tighten each one carefully. Make sure you put the back plate that came with the mb into your case (Remove the one that came with your Case if any) Now place your MB to alighn the 9 holes of your MB with the standins (whatever that is called.. I may not be using the right terminalogy here) are aligned and the back plate holes are allighed properly with your back hookups of you mother board..and use the screws on those 9 holes to screw the MB to the case. Then hook up your power to your MB and CPU. Again'..make sure you don't shove the PCI-E power into the 8 pin CPU power like I did. hook up the CPU fans to the mother board and various fans from your case to the power. Hook up your DVD drive and a single HD or SSD Drive to your Sata drive and power. Use the MB video out for initial testing to one of your monitor. or you can insert your video card and connect your monitor to it. Also make sure you connect the PCI-E power cable to the video power in of your video card. Thats all I think off. Anyone reading this, if I have missed anything, please comment. Double and triple check everything. Now turn it on. If you smell anything foul, pull the plug. Ha Ha! LOL :) Otherwise you should see the post on your monitor.. pat yourself on the back. :) Manny OS Installation: Go into BIOS and set it to boot from DVD drive. Place OS CD and start PC and follow instructions Driver installation After starting up Windows, place the ASUS Driver disk and install all the necessary driver or go online and get the latest and greatest driver and install them Install FSX Inj any case.. please do not use this as a proper instructions to build a PC., I am typining this stuff from memory.... so please do your due dilgence and read up, watch You tube videos there are plenty out there and then read the manuals.. .be patient and take your time. That extra $50 you may have to spend to get a 2400 memory like the GSKILL Trident 2400 (2 X 4Gg) could give you 3-5 extra FPS which IMO, is a low hanging fruit to pluck. Manny, just wanted to give you a quick update. I finished building and setting up my new PC and I am happy to say that the Samsung memory is happily humming along at 2400 speeds at stock timings! These little suckers are a beast! I guess I got to pluck that fruit after all! Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
