October 21, 201213 yr Author I had the x86 installed already. It seems that we are getting closer since it is syswow64! Any other suggestions?
October 21, 201213 yr Try uninstalling the 64 bit version of MS Visual 2005. I can't think of any application that would need it as 32 bit applications were around the most when FSX was first released. Just go into the Add/Remove Programs and uninstall. October 21, 201213 yr Does this happen with default aircraft or with just the PMDG. You stated you flew a test flight with no addons for over an hour and no crash. I assume that was with a default aircraft. Did you install a new airline paint scheme to PMDG? I'm thinking one of your new paints did not install correctly and, when looking for a texture or gauge, it cannot be found. There are several updates to the PMDG 737. Did you install them? I'm thinking the problem is solely with the PMDG aircraft but you state you installed other addons. What addons did you install after the default test flight? In post #29 you indicated you had installed DirectX. You, the user, cannot install DirectX. That is installed by the operating system and is sometimes incorporated with your Nvidia display drivers when you install your display drivers (if files need to be updated). So, if you installed a wrong version of DirectX.... well, the system just won't allow you to install DirectX if it is already installed. This can really mess up your system if not installed correctly. Remove the uiautomationcore.dll from your main fsx directory and see if this fixes the problem. Most people, me included, do not have the Vista version in our main FSX directory. It works for some and not for others. Personally I think it's a placebo. When you installed FSX and addons, did you disable the UAC and any anti-virus programs? You need to do that if you didn't. I'm sorry. That's about all the suggestions I have left in my CTD Library. October 22, 201213 yr Author Before I reformatted yesterday I only flew default fsx with no addons. I still had a crash every single flight so I really doubt it is caused by addons. Thank you Jim for all of your help. Do you have any idea about a paid technical support service that may be of help? It's just frustrating because there is not much on google about my problems. There are a lot of people flying on windows 7 and don't have the problem that I have.
