July 21, 201213 yr Sounds most interesting. I'll give it a try, but I do seem to recall having downloaded and installed this before. If I recall correctly, there was some nonsense about having to install one of two AFCAD files depending on the prevailing wind.
July 21, 201213 yr The FS9 version has been out for some time. Only the FSX version was released today.

July 21, 201213 yr The FS9 version came out a couple of years ago and was outstanding. But there were a few errors and the team said they would fix them in a few days- that was a long time ago..They were fairly minor but annoying as it would have been very easy to patch it... Hopefully they have tweaked the FS9 version with the release of the FSX one It is definitely worth having. The idea with the diferent AFCADs is not unreasonable. They have multiple runways in use and using the right AFCAD for the pevailing wind ensures that your traffic flow is smooth and quite realistic to real life patterns Cheers Ian
July 21, 201213 yr Regarding prevailing wind: FS ai depending on aircraft type may accept a tail wind of from five to 12 knots and instead use the "no wind" runways scoring priority. ILS/LOC runways have priority in this case assuming other properties are acceptable (length, etc.,) again by aircraft type. Consider this when choosing your afcad. The runway scoring algorithms took a long time for the project ai then the ADE developer team to figure out.
July 21, 201213 yr Hopefully they have tweaked the FS9 version with the release of the FSX one If you follow Maiya's link and go to the Forums, there are some other bits and pieces now.The scenery performs really well: There's a reduced texture size if performance was an issue, but most importantly, they have been mipped to remove the irritating flash- through. Some effects also added, and it's altogether a most impressive addon - reminds me of FlyTampa airports.
