Color!

Featured Replies

I live in the Tropics so I see colorful scenery every day. I mean really colorful, sometimes outrageously so.

That's why I found Hawai'i somewhat bland, or perhaps the word is "drab". To my mind, trees and buildings should have been extremely colorful.

I certainly did not expect Alaska to be full of color, although on second thought there probably is a lot of that. So, I was a little surprised to land at McGrath and see this:

Well, that's a pleasant change. Red houses, colored roofs. Sure hope there's more of that.

Best regards.

McGrath looks like a showcase airport for Flight's Alaska. There's even a sign on one of the buildings that says "McGrath Air Terminal."

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Yeah, I noticed that as well. This is obviously one of the airports that got some personal attention rather than just being stamped out with the cookie cutters. It's pretty decent looking.

I have said for a while that whoever is in charge of the art assets needs to look at some real human dwelling areas. I have no idea why "serious" flight simulators seem so enamored with subdued/drab colors, especially grey.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.
