Perfect accompaniment to the NGX

Featured Replies

I'm building a cockpit and using the NGX to set up all of my routes, test scenery, hardware, etc.

I bought an i-pad and wanted an EFB.

My routes are all Australian, so I bought OzRunways.

It is an awesome program, but I've had a great deal of trouble getting it to work.

Through the efforts of Rowan from OzRunways, I finally did. A new version, 2.8.1 came out today and it's a bottler.

If anybody wants a complete EFB, this has got to be the one.

I also bought the FSWidgets EFB, FS Kneeboard 2 and trialled a few others, but the content in OzRunways left the opposition for dead, in my opinion.

Great program, great support,

It looks like a nice program but it's only for Australia, so if you want to fly your NGX outside Australia this really isn't of any use.

It's also for Apple products only. They don't support other tablet pc brands, which have taken a significant chunk out of Apple's tablet pc market.

I wish I could find a lite version EFB for my laptop, but nothing I've tried has given me what I want.

I've tried FSCommander, Aivlasoft's EFB, FSWidgets EFB...nothing really gave me the complete package. Aivlasoft came close, but their SID/STAR charts didn't include every altitude crossing restriction, so I had to refer to real charts anyway.

Kind of counter-productive.

The FS widgets EFB is on sale at the moment and I would likke to take advantage of that. Quick question for any of you guys who may be using it, well couple of questions 1) Is it good? and 2) is it easy to use on a second networked machine? Thanks fellas...

Hi you be better of getting the avlasoft efb you get more option to choose from, ie you can pick your flight plan within, pick sids, stars, shows your aircraft at the airport, plus other aircraft in the air around you in map mode. I used to have fs widget efb but was lacking in the amount of options you have
