Problem with install of PA46T

Featured Replies

Hi All. I have purchased and downloaded the PA46T. When I click on the .exe and click install it asks for email and serial code, which I give. Then I click on Install and a window comes up that says it has been installed. It doesn't say where and I don't see it in Airplanes at Sim Objects. In SimObjects I see the .exe file again but the Aircraft is not installed anywhere that I can find. Ant suggestions?

Dave

It should be in SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado P46T Malibu JetProp DL. If it is not, perhaps re-install with clicking the installer with a right click and choosing 'run as admin'. Also make sure that your antivirus is off for that one moment.

In SimObjects I see the .exe file again

I have no idea what you are looking at here... do a search for "P46T" on your computer and see where it ended up...

I have replied to this topic twice and I don't see it here. Any suggestions.

I will try to post again. Thanks to CoolP and Bert for the replies. The problem with installation might be that I have recently uninstalled FSX ( Or so I thought). In attempting to reinstall FSX using Disk#1 I get a window with two choices. REPAIR or REMOVE. Clicking on either one gets an error message. I have a reinstall from an external HD backup that may be corrupted or not sufficient. I have PA46T, C340 and KingAir C90 Aircraft and all give the same result when trying to install in this new FSX reinstall. I click on the .exe and it asks for my email and product serial# which I provide. Then I get a window to click INSTALL and that leads to the next window that says it was successfuly installed. It doesn"t say where and search only leads to SimObjects as the same .exe. So I may have corrupt FSX and not able to get a clean install. i am stumped!!

Bert. I get the same result.

Are you running as administrator? Is your anti-virus program causing a problem?

Hi Bert and Branton. I am running as administrator and installed as Administrator. anti-virus is disabled (temporarily). When I click on P11300X.exe (The install .exe for PA46T) I get a window that asks for

my email address and the product serial #. I provide these. I then get a window that says "PA46T Malibu Jet Prop DL HD Series FSX has been installed on your computer ( Does not say where). Search for PA46T Malibu yields "PA46T Malibu- update patch.zip G:\Download." Also "PA46T Jet Prop DL HD Series FSX- The Avsim Community." Also "Problem with install of PA46T- PA46T Malibu Jet Prop DL HD Series FSX- The Avsim Community". When I search using the .exe PII300X.exe I get "No items match your search". I looked into SimObjects and I see PII300.exe. (Not in Airplanes) Clicking on that .exe goes through the same install routine that has not been productive so far. I don't know where to go from here. I think a corrupt FSX install may be the culprit. FSX Registry repair has not fixed the problem either

Search with Carenado P46T Malibu results in:"No items match your search". Search using Carenado reveals PII300X Carenado Malibu.zip. When I click on that I get the same old PII300X.

It might be time to format and start over. I have backed up all that I think is necessary.

Yes. I have been flying with FSX.

So FSX is OK.

Now look in FSX/Simobjects/Airplanes and see if there are any Carenado airplanes..
