Graphics Issue

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I love the NGX. Yesterday I was playing around with some graphics settings in FSX. I was just seeing if I could push the envelope a wee bit more. I didn't like what I got and so I reverted back to my old settings, which normally give me a pretty sweet looking bird anyways. Now however, its as if the antialiasing and anisotropic settings in FSX will not apply to the NGX. The NXG now looks like I'm running the settings in FSX on the basic setup. I dont think it is a problem with FSX as this issue does not appear with any other addon aircraft or sceneries. In fact I was toying around with the settings again today to try and determine if it was a FSX problem, and I could clearly see the downgrades in the addon scenery and other aircraft when I lowered the settings and turned off the anti-alasign. But nothing changes in the way of the graphics and the NGX. It just looks really bad now all of the time in the external model views ( with a little bit of issues in the Virtual cockpit, but nothing like the exterior). Wondering if you guys or girls know of any other things I can do to try and fix this. I have attached to pics so you can get an idea of the kind of graphics I used to get, and can compare them with what I am getting now.

Thanks for your help with this

Hang on, where are the wheels on the tug in the first pic?!

MOBO: MSI P67A-C45 (B3) CPU: Intel i5-2500K @ 3.8GHz RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 @1600MHz GPU: NVIDIA 1GB GTX 560 @ 900MHz CASE: Antec 300 PSU: Rasurbo 650W GaminX HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

What are your system specs? Are you using Nvidia Inspector? (if you are using a Nvidia card) What are your settings inside or outside FSX?

The first pic a) the anti-aliasing is gone, very very obviously on the aircraft, and b ) to answer Jordan's question, it is FSDT's KLAX, with the anti-pop-up blocker set to a different setting other than the max of 30. In addition to specs, we are to assume the first picture shows the actual issue and the second what you consider it should be like or what it used to be?

Regards,

Kyle

The second picture is what it used to be. The first is what I was getting. I sorted out the issue though. I just went into my graphics cards settings and told the card to force the AA settings regardless of what program is running. Took me a couple of days to figure it all out but its back to looking like what you see in the second picture.

WRT to missing tires, I also just updated KLAX from FSDT to the latest available version, and I now have wheels in all my tugs B)

Thanks all for the interest in helping out.

Cheers
