August 4, 201213 yr At cruising altitude, whats the fuel flow of the 777 per hour? Also, how much fuel does it usually land with? With the NGX, I usually plan for one thousand pounds of fuel pper 100 miles of cruise and add at least 8 thousand to that. This usually works pretty well and I land with between 7 and 8 thousand on most flights. This is a highly unrealistc way to plan fuel, but it works for me. Im just wondering if there will be any similar calculation for the T7, which obviously consumes a lot more fuel. Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
August 5, 201213 yr Flying big jets like the 767, 777 I like to land with about 10-15. Always good to put some extra fuel on for weather deviation, holds, diverting etc. The 777 carries LOTS of fuel, especially the 77L which is practically a flying fuel tank. What I normally do if I'm not sure, I guess then once I'm done flight planning I'll look at the prog page to see what it says I'll be arriving with. If it's to little I'll add more, if to much I'll remove some. Of course that means editing the performance a little but doesn't take long. - Luke Pabari
