Manhattan X works very nice with XP10. there are a few buildings that dont have textures, but you hardley notice them and the night lighting works great.

It also meshes together great with X-Planes roads.

 

Detroit works great.

 

Lasvegas gives you floating city buildings. (Maybe its the mesh Im using, buildings display well, but float 50' over the ground)

Buffalo also had floating buildings.

New Orleans would just crash XPX.

Chicago works fine, but causes my payware Midway airport not to display.

 

I cant help but think, getting this scenery to work %100 percent in XP would only require a minimum amount of work. Im surprised Aerosoft hasnt jumped on it. I think these city scenery's were all made by different developers, so maybe its not all that cut and dry for them and would explain why some work and some dont. They are all created differently.

 

A few months ago I sent Mathais an email along with some screen shots of the city scenery working in XP, and asked about officially converting this scenery to XPX, but I never heard back.

 

Im just glad Manhattan works, since that was always my favorite.

I think if new xplane users saw for instance the magnificence of the Aerosoft Detroit scenery in xplane with ultimate smoothness, lack of stutters, and lack of blurries all would be won over. Seems like it would be good for both xplane and aerosoft. I know I'd be in line to buy lots more sceneries for xplane than I ever would have for fsx.

That's exactly how I feel, but for that to happen BOTH side HAVE to listen to their customers, look at what happened to Flight, so a lot more REAL sceneries are needed with night textures, after seeing what XP-10 can do with lights it's a no brainer to me, if Aerosoft is in the process of making cities X for XP-10 they better think very hard about incorporating night textures in their sceneries, if they don't do it somebody else will , you always have to be the first with the best products.

 

The big argument I read a lot about it is that high def. satellite imagery is expensive to buy, maybe, but who would not pay to fly over the real thing (including well placed autogen in the surrounding), I would (as I just did), I mean if Drzewiecki Design can do Miami 2012 and sell it for $24.99 retail (including night textures) what can be done for $39.99, as I said before, I'll take that over any Orbx sceneries no questions asked.

 

Some planes are going for $49.99 and more. http://www.pcaviator...productid=17575 ....hello!!....and they sell a lot of them don't they, agreed that not everybody is able to pay that much for a plane or scenery but guess what...if you buid it they will come.

I'm looking at buying XP-10 down the road (not ready yet) but I would like to know who are the 3PD who are and will be making addons for XP-10, if this is not a secret or is it?
