August 27, 201213 yr I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I have windows 7 64 bit and I just seem to have alot of issues with FSX. I am having FSUIPC with my "profile specific" not always working which I have shared with Pete and screen started flickering black and white after I had FSX.cfg restored to a new .cfg. I have been told from a IT friend that I should try the Windows XP emulator on Windows 7 but I don't have the edition that has it availabe. Would it be wise to spend the 100 dollar upgrade to use the Emulator? I have a good system so I shouldn't be having these issues. Josh Scholl
August 27, 201213 yr I have Win7 64 bit and have the occasional CTD problems but nothing significant. Sounds like you might want to do start from scratch, or at least try disabling/uninstalling one program at a time to trace the error down. Hans Soule
August 27, 201213 yr The Win XP emulator is unable to run FSX at any reasonable speed (or possibly unable to run FSX at all), it is a virtual machine, and 3d programs basically needs to be run natively. W7 64 should be able to run FSX without any issues (other than the uiautomationcore.dll issue, but that doesnt seem to be related to your problem) vatsim s3
August 27, 201213 yr How old or busy is your Win7 install? Worst comes to worst, a reinstall of everything usually fixes things.
August 27, 201213 yr Author I just had windows 7 home premium 64bit installed about 6 months ago when I rebuilt my computer. I have alot of third party aircraft. In the past LevelD 767 had issues with PMDG the .dll file that is. I have FS2crew 767 and PMDG 747. I think part of my issue is I had left my computer on for 2 days with FSX paused in windowed mode. I just turned off my monitor. Was at work. Probably memory was low due to FSX running that long. I have tried to eliminate the CTD from clicking the mouse too many times. Just alot of issues with Windows 7. Josh Scholl
