August 30, 201213 yr Hi, The VoxScript is a very powerful tool, but it can only work for planes that already have MCE support. Would it be possible to extend it to allow these commands: 1. Lua script 2. FSUIPC Mouse macros (optional for FSUIPC license owners - to prevent your needing a distribution license) 3. Keyboard commands With access to these, we users can create our own integrations and crew environment. It wouldn't take much to save a bunch of mouse macros, and then create some crew workflows based upon real airline checklists.
August 30, 201213 yr Author Ahh yeah I saw that actually I remember using it. It does do keyboard commands yep thanks However I believe it was only one key, not a whole flow. VoxScript however we can do like in your MD-11 "Cockpit preparation procedure" , or "prepare for landing" etc, and have the F/O pull his weight. Plus the macros/luas would be good
August 30, 201213 yr Commercial Member Dan, Hope this is helpful: Keyboard macros added via Voxkey can be triggered by adding the voice command to a VoxScript list of commands. As for triggering a Lua script, will consider that for the future. Right now, we're trying to keep the scripts user friendly. We thought about adding things like wait for a specific event to happen in the sim before doing this and that, but the thought of having things like "if" statements in the script would put many people off. August 30, 201213 yr Author Thanks mate The lua scripts is more just to control planes that aren't supported yet, not so much to have logic in voxscript. All MCE would need to do is to push an FSUIPC virtual button, and users who own FSUIPC can link to the Lua or Mouse macro by themselves. The freeware SPAD drivers for Saitek hardware are good examples of this, I can create virtual buttons to map to various things when the plane is not recognized. I'm not sure of the licensing implications, but it has been done by freeware so I'm hopeful. About 45% of planes can be controlled with Lua, 45% with C++ mouse macros, and 10% not at all (for me anyway)
