August 31, 201213 yr Is it a bug or why it is not possible to re-engage the AT after one engine is lost ? When I simulate engine failure after start and disengage the AT for a while, later its not possible to re-engage it again. :( Both thrust levers are in the same, parallel postion....
August 31, 201213 yr FCTM 8.9 PF may disconnect AT. engine off : thrust lever to retard, then fuel lever start cutoff. FCTM 7.3 autothrottle should not be used with one engine inoperative ... seems you get your answer .... all the best. Phil ps i dont own the NGX so this is a basic answer from real FCTM....

I got this before too and I thought, although it says you shouldn't use it, that it would still be possible to re-engage it. I saw the guy in this video re-engage it at a later point -- Alexander
September 1, 201213 yr depending certainly on the ops and SOP. should not be used is not meaning you cant use but it s better not. did you try in the same conditions as on the video?

September 1, 201213 yr Regarding that video - don't hit the TOGA button like that. You push them up with your hand on top and then hit the TOGA button from there. Matt Cee
