September 25, 201213 yr Commercial Member I have 16G of ram and often go just beyond 8G usage, FSX using btw 2 and 4G, usually 3.3G. Plan-G uses a Gig, Win7 about 3G, then theres your weather add-on, background services etc... So 8G would actually be too little: you need headroom for mem appropriations to go smoothly I have 8GB of RAM and 3.4ghz I7 2600k and run constant 20 to 30FPS depending from addon scenery, aircraft and amount of AI traffic. Honestly having 16GB for just use with FSX & some addons is just waste of money.
