click hotspot missing in VC, but ok in 2D panel

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am missing the hotspot to bring up the main FS2Crew panel in the virtual cockpit (only).

The click spot *is* present on the 2D panel where it works fine. I can also bring up the main FS2Crew panel via the Views menu or the keyboard command.

Any idea why the hotspot isn't working in VC?

(I've tried switching between button and voice modes and also uninstalling/reinstalling FS2Crew... but I can't get the VC hot spot to work.

I'm sure the hotspot worked originally in FSX... but I've just started trying to install FS2Crew into P3D and I think that has affected my FS2Crew installations which have the same clickspot problem in both FSX and P3D. I found this old post about the same issue but there was no resolution. I can confirm my gauge has been trusted in FSX and I have the VCockpit36 entry in my panel.cfg in both FSX and P3D)

Thanks

Hey Peter. Not sure if this will help but I had the same issue and I found, for me, it was some sort of conflict between the FS2 config manager and the PMDG NGX config manager. For me it turned out to be a simple matter of which one I loaded first. Try setting the FS2 config for either button or voice first, close that, then open the NGX config manager and accept that. If it's the same issue I was having that should give you back your click spot. If not, try it in reverse. PMDG first then FS2. Hope this helps solve your issue.

If you run the PMDG 'Performance Manager', it will delete the entry in the part of the Panel CFG that handles the VC clickspot.

It's just an issue with the PMDG Performance Manager that's out of my hands I'm afraid.

Your best bet is to simply assign a keyboard/joystick button to open/close the FS2Crew Main Panel.

That way you don't have to worry about clicking the panels.

Instructions on how to do that are in the Manual.

Cheers,
