June 24, 200421 yr In the PMDG Express B1900D equipped with Reality XP Jetline 2 gauge, I set up a flightplan in the GPS and with the XP RTU switch to GPS navigation. When I set the autopilot to NAV mode it won't follow my GPS course. It ignores it or fly only in circles. In the GPS you see the indicator telling you that you are off course and by how much. How can I get the AP to fly the GPS flightplan with the FS default GPS? With the Meridian this worked without problems.
June 24, 200421 yr Author Are you seeing the flight plan in the EHSI?You need to:1. Switch NAV/GPS to GPS2. I assume you are using the FS9 GPS set.3. In RTU advance to the page that contains update flight plan and click it. As the other poster said be sure you have in the RTU GPSS source turned on. The GPS course should now be switched into the EHSI and show up there with any GPS deviation similar to the display of a VOR deviation. The CDI will now show the GPS deviation instead of a tuned VOR.4. If in your FS menu bar you have an Options drop-down, be sure you have the right GPS source selected.5. I think this is in the jlxx.ini in the gauges or aircraft folder, but if it is illustrated by comments check to see if there is an option to select GPS=HEAD or NAV for AP linkage. I might be confused and that might be in the FLA.INI for the Apollo series GPS.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=12 is the Reality support forum and you will find postings relating to PMDG products there. There is also a statement that on the PMDG site is a specific download for modifying the panel for Jetline products.
June 24, 200421 yr Author Addendum:Go to the Reality-XP site and find your way to info regarding a "service module". Be careful with implementing it, it might be for FS2K2 only. Don't recall.

Originally their FLA Apollo 50 had a problem with gpsexport and some autopilots. Since you are not using it, it will not apply. I apologize for this confusion but for reference:// Reality XP Flight Line Avionics Apollo Configuration File////// [settings] General Flight Line Avionics Settings//// GPSS=NAV GPSS is linked to the NAV autopilot function// GPSS=HDG GPSS is linked to the HDG bug. August 31, 200421 yr Are you familiar with the GPS in the PMDG 737? I just started with it and can't figure out where to access the GPS or Garmin or whatever it uses. I also saw a PNDG panel with the GPS in the navigation system. Do you know anything about that?
August 31, 200421 yr you have to set it via the jetline 2 pop up thingy, you know the one you get when you click the icon, the one used to turn the TCAS on and off, etc. i was ages trying to get the thing to follow the GPS flightplan. can't remeber excatly what the settings are but when you get there you will see it.
