September 10, 201213 yr Just started trying out DX10 and thanks for all the info put on this forum. I love the increase of FR's and I've been trying the demo of ConverterX - for me this has cured the 'no textures' on AI aircraft ( very important for me). One thing is I have no progressive taxi, either with the default DX10 or with converter X. Not a big problem of course but is there any answer to that? I'm running a rather tired i7 960 @ 2.65 and a GTX 285 so I can't expect too much. Thank you.
September 10, 201213 yr Make sure the arrows are not out behind you, Cattz. This will happen if you're pointing 180 deg away from the gate. The arrows are also all red - there's no yellow part. If you installed Steve's self-installer package (v3.0.0) the arrows are there. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
September 10, 201213 yr I have the same problem. In my case, it is because I installed Flight 1's Ultimate Terrain X. Those new textures hide the progressive taxi path. My workaround is to change the view using "S" and then cycle to an aerial view using "A". The progressive taxi arrows are visible in this view (I need to zoom in a bit to see them). Make sure UTX is located just above Propeller Objects in your Scenery Library. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! I have Steve's package although not sure which file to click to install and is it OK with Converter X?
September 10, 201213 yr Nothing to do with the Converters, Cattz... The installation is, basically, unzip it to a temp folder, and dble-click on the setup.exe. It does the whole thing automagically, including the deletion of the cache folders. As your ShadersHLSL are partially modified you'll probably need to put the original ShadersHLSL folder back first, then run the setup program. We have a link to the default folder on this forum (somewhere....) I'll dig it out if you need it. OK? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
September 10, 201213 yr I had this issue on an off and also use UTX Europe but the ZIP that Paul refers to from Steve works a treat, also comes with a readme on how to install. Simples. Or you could just look at the taxiway charts for your airfield and/or the taxiway signs.... #justsaying Jason *** Disclaimer: Any resemblence of my views & tech advice to reality are purely coincidental. If converterX has changed the ShadersHLSL folder then, yes please, link me to an original version.
September 10, 201213 yr :LMAO: So, as one old fart to another old fart - it's here and the Shader mod, itself, is here Call anytime! i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
September 11, 201213 yr On DX10, I can only see progressive taxi from top-down view. Make sure the Shader3 fix is installed properly. It will not work with the default DX10 preview. You must install Steve's Shader fix. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! ( you can't miss those blood red arrows at night, can you  ) Well, that depends on how much of an 'old far't you are when it comes to eyesight! :Big Grin: But you would be pretty hard pushed not to see the red arrows at anytime not just a night. So many pun references to be had there too, so little time.... Jason *** Disclaimer: Any resemblence of my views & tech advice to reality are purely coincidental.
