September 20, 201213 yr Like for most of you, I guess, for me the first flights in the ngx were not the easiest. More complicated, programming the fmc, flight characteristics, etc. it was a sleep learning curve. But yesterday I tried the fsx default 737 on a short flight, just for fun, just to get the old feeling back. Well, that was once and never again!!! Like switching from a Rolls Royce to a Citroen 2cv. Using the Garmin500..how? VC cockpit... pre WWII, flying FL340...in your dreams. Halfway a flight from Frankfurt to London I quited, no fun, no joy, nothing. My conclusion: Flying the pmdg 737ngx is, in every aspect, fun, realistic, and, after some learning, a lot easier to fly then the stock 737. That's all I wanted to say, bye bye. Ton v.Dongen I wonder why you even tried this seriously. The default FSX aircraft are terrible and basically empty shells with pretty paint job, especially those supposed to be more complex. Maybe the C172 is bearable. Dave P. Woycek
September 20, 201213 yr I must admit--I actually only now broke down and bought the NGX (of course all of them-600 through 900) a couple of days ago and took it for a spin. WOW. It's pretty amazing and is not half as bad on frames with my ancient computer. Though I should not be surprised-I own the MD-11 and the 747. I will tell you this though--because of it I am now pricing a new computer. Something this good deserves a computer that will allow it to run gloriously. Jim Atkins
September 20, 201213 yr Yep, the NGX is a fine very high class fs addon, almost as good as the LSH Maddog! vatsim s3

I think the GA default planes are not bad the Baron is ok and the King Air is decent they look good and sound good and even have decent panels the problem with all of them are flight dynamics. I remember my first flight with the default king air. A friend of mine got FS2002 PRO so it had the king air and I remember flying MIA-FPO making pretend it was a Gulfstream Airlines (now Silver Airways) B1900D, I enjoyed that plane a lot when I was 12 One thing though, it would be great if PMDG did an update to their B1900D for FSX. That would be a buy right away for me. Steven Herzberg, "I rather be flying"
