September 19, 201213 yr Hi Captains, Last time I get ANTI-ICE message on annunciation panel (and master caution light) after landing. I have all anti-ice switches off, weather is fine (no rain, mist, temperature above 10 degrees), all failures are disabled. I have no idea why I get this message, I've never had it before after landing Maybe you can help me understand this behavior. All best! Adrian
September 19, 201213 yr Are you by any chance using FS2Crew? The F/O turns off the Probe Heat after landing, which triggers the Master Caution. Regards, Oli Oliver Branaschky Oliver Branaschky

Regards, Oli Oliver Branaschky Oli, I don't use FS2Crew. After landing I always do complete "After landing procedure" and turn off pitot probes Adrian
September 19, 201213 yr In this case I believe it's you who's triggering the warning ;-) Oliver Branaschky Oliver Branaschky
September 19, 201213 yr Author In this case I believe it's you who's triggering the warning ;-) Oliver Branaschky But is it normal or some kind of issue? I fly NGX since the release date and never had this caution Adrian
September 19, 201213 yr I turn the prob heat off after parking at the gate, try that. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
September 19, 201213 yr Probes must be heated when in air, so a normal indication is "lights off". When you turn off the heaters the amber lights come on, each amber light on the overhead panel will trigger the master caution. It is how it works. Regards Andrea Daviero
September 20, 201213 yr Also, please check the after landing part of the tutorials: - Place SPD BRK lever in DOWN position - Start APU - Set PROBE HEAT to OFF which explains the following: "Note that you will get a master caution for ANTI-ICE when doing this. This is normal and you can clear it by pushing on the master caution button." ____________________________________________________ Dieter de Wit
September 20, 201213 yr To correct stow the speed brakes you need to put them down resetting the actuator, this can be done only by advancing throttles either when taxing, or with engine shut down. Failing to do this will not reset SPEED BRAKES DO NOT ARM light. However the ngx shows fsx limits here by restowing the actuator if you restow the lever manually. Speed brake light is on the main panel ((the P1, P2, P3 are in front of the pilots) and the lights on these panels will not illuminate the master caution as the lights are in front of you and they are visible. Each time the master caution lights up, an amber light will be on on the overhead panel. Few lights have a time delay for master caution illumination, one of these lights are the REVERSER (aft overhead panel) lights. Also starting APU is not required if ground cart is avaiable at the parking, or, APU is unserviceable. Regards Andrea Daviero
