Presumably months for real pilots and maybe just as long for Sim pilots?Reading through the PMDG 737 Manual I realise just how steep my learning curve will be an I was wondering how others have fared...Cliff
June 30, 200421 yr Not too hard to learn. There are excellent tutorials available for the PMDG 737 that take you step by step through several flights, including entire sections on programming the FMS. The one thing you must have is patience. June 30, 200421 yr It's not that Bad Cliff once you've done it a couple of times. At first it's a bit confusing, I would certainly suggest you go through Tim Metzingers excellent tutorial line by line at least once. You'll soon sense the flow of programming it. After awhile, you'll be able to load a program in under a minute depending on the complexity and length of the route of course. February 3, 200521 yr For me it is an ongoing learning experience. Once you have managed the basics of getting airborne following your course and landing there is still a lot to learn and remember. It's what makes the whole FMC experience much more rewarding. Terry
