October 1, 201213 yr Hi all, just wondering, is the overfly function present in the NGX's CDU? And if not, how to force the Lnav to stick to a precise path over wps as opposed to the more efficient (cutting corners, etc..) default? Thank you all Matteo Capocefalo MED1473
October 1, 201213 yr Commercial Member To the best of my knowledge, overflight waypoints are coded into the SID/STAR logic and cannot be added by other means. Kyle Rodgers
October 1, 201213 yr You can force it by adding a point .1nm on either side, eg. ABCDE/.1. Why, though? What's the practical application? Matt Cee
October 1, 201213 yr Commercial Member I know on the A3xx you have a over fly button on the MCDU. I remember a few years back an A320 F/O asked me what it was for so doubt it's used much! As Kyle mentioned it's already built into the SID/STAR if required. Anyway's, good ol HDG SEL will do the job rather then being heads down punching away and verifying. Regards Rob Prest
October 1, 201213 yr Author Well was thinking about the delta button on Airbus' CDU. Practical implications e.g. Obstables in proximity, lining up etc. Matteo Capocefalo MED1473

October 1, 201213 yr Author Yeah, I think it was more of a theoretical sort of question (just curious if the option is modelled/present in the real A/C). Concerning the practical implications I am afraid this is turning into one of those situations where one asks a question and progressiviely realizes that the question was pointless lol Matteo Capocefalo MED1473
