A third RWY (parallel to the exisiting 11/29) is planned here. And don't forget Berlin Brandenburg (EDDB/BER) which is scheduled to be opened in approximately a year. Flo Florian

November 29, 201312 yr Commercial Member It's not an international airport, but KBBG in Branson Missouri has about 200 commercial operations per month. Folks dropping by to see the shows, I reckon.... It opened about 5 years ago, post FSX. Fun fact - the real airport sits on a man made plateau. Seems perfect for simming, but it's not even in P3D2, for what that's worth. (Each product functions in a fully-functional trial mode for interested users.)
November 29, 201312 yr Commercial Member You're looking not only for new airports, but airports with changes - especially runway extensions. 1. Determine which flight you wish to make, and then pull any new AFCADs from AVSIM, FlightSim.com or the FSX Freeware Scenery database (outstanding), or simply Google the "FSX Scenery (and the airport ICAO)" or FSX Free Scenery (and the Airport ICAO). Even if there isn't a change in runway length or new runway, it's always best to have updated airports. 2. For airports which aren't created in FSX, you can check by simply entering the Airport ICAO in the Go To Airport window. If it doesn't show you (be sure to "clear filters") then you'll have to locate some addon scenery. My group maintains a freeware library of updated airports (downloaded from various sources) that is 60GB. The library was built over 6 years of group flights, and scenery was added as we flew to different airports. Then we spent a little time each week checking for new releases and updating the library as needed. Once you get started, it's really not a lot of work as it may seem and it's SO worth it. One word of caution, never, ever add any scenery by just dumping the files wholesale into the FSX/Addon Scenery/scenery and texture folders - NOT EVER. Instead, create a template for new scenery with a scenery and texture folder to put the downloaded files (some scenery is already formatted that way) and name the folder by the Airport ICAO, City, Author and Date the scenery was uploaded to where you got it OR the date of the latest file in the zip folder you downloaded. This way you'll be able to tell at a glance if an update has been released and you'll always know (at a glance) what scenery you have and what is installed and activated. Anyway, just an alternative. It's worked out VERY well for us. Dave Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
