October 6, 201213 yr I don't know if this has been asked before, but is there a good place to check which international airports around the world have been built since FSX was released six years ago? The reason I ask is that I've been doing some long-haul on the PMDG MD-11X reproducing UPS and FedEx flights and when I'm about to land in some airports like Bangalore (VOBL), there is nowhere to land, despite having all the navdata from Naigraph. I've downloaded freeware of newer airports, such as Ray Smith's VTBS, but a comprehensive list would be helpful. Just curious. Happy flights! October 6, 201213 yr I believe the OP means real-life airports that have opened post FSX release. Alexander Alonso
October 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member King Shaka International Airport of Durban at least, couldn't even find it from my Level D 767 navdata but I guess it is probably outdated as I haven't updated my nav stuff. Flew there anyway using some freeware basic airport.
October 6, 201213 yr Author Well lets see ORBX - MELBOURNE, CAIRNS, BRISBANE AND MORE FSDREAMTEAM: CHICAGO, LAS VEGAS, LAX AND OTHERS AEROSOFT: HEAPS There are heaps just cant think of them all off the top of my head.. perhaps google fsx payware/freeware I did mean real world airports that would not be included in FSX, so basically airports built since 2006. October 6, 201213 yr ZGOW is new. ZSWZ, ZYQQ, ZGDY, ZSTX, ZSXZ are not new, but open to international traffic and not in FSX. scott s. .
October 6, 201213 yr I imagine there are a lot in China. Lots of new airports being built there. The only other one I can think of is King Shaka as mentioned above. Berlin's new airport might be open by next year too. Lee
October 6, 201213 yr KECP - Northwest Florida Beaches International; opened 2010. Replaces KPFN - Panama City-Bay County International
October 7, 201213 yr The new Bangkok airport was opened in 2006, so doubt it made it into fsx? Brent Lewis
October 7, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the inputs. I'm still trying to look for a comprehensive list online. The new Bangkok airport was opened in 2006, so doubt it made it into fsx? Ray Smith made a nice freeware of the new Bangkok Airport. I imagine there are a lot in China. Lots of new airports being built there. Lee I noticed that too, when I was doing some flights into China. I have all the navdata, but on approach, there is obviously no airport. October 7, 201213 yr CYYZ, CYUL, CYOW, CYVR, CYYC, CYEG, CYWG, CYHZ, KJFK, KIAD, KORD, KMIA, KLAX, KSEA, KDFW, KDTW, KBOS, LPPT, EDDF, LIRF, EGLL, RJTT Gil Ferreira
October 7, 201213 yr I cant remember having seen a comprehensive list of newly created international airports. Your best bet would be to google your departure + arrival airport before each flight. vatsim s3
October 7, 201213 yr CYYZ, CYUL, CYOW, CYVR, CYYC, CYEG, CYWG, CYHZ, KJFK, KIAD, KORD, KMIA, KLAX, KSEA, KDFW, KDTW, KBOS, LPPT, EDDF, LIRF, EGLL, RJTT Those airports are all included in FSX. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
October 7, 201213 yr Those airports are all included in FSX. But they have or are about to have major changes to runway structure. At least in some instances. KORD will look more like KATL pr KDFW (but on an east-west heading) than it's present day configuration by the time the new runway work is complete.... Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument.
