Aerosoft's Helsinki X - Any good stuff to go with it ?

Featured Replies

Hello All

Looking to get Aerosoft's lovely rendition of Helsinki X, just wondering if anyone could recommend any nice stuff to with it such as mesh, landclass etc. Love flying to Scandinavia, but never flown to Finland.

Many thanks

From FISD site I would especially recommend to get this one:

http://fisd.fsnordic...jects/finlandx/

Adds very much more realism to whole Finnish terrain.

Then you should definitely get this one:

It's scenery for Oulu airport in Northern Finland, the second busiest airport here and is FSX compatible.

Like you can see from compatibility page most FS9 airports made by FISD unfortunately do not work with FSX, but of course you can always try.

And also all photosceneries seem to work with FSX, I think they are worth adding too.

My finnish scenery is based on FinlandX, which is great package. I also use Fscene and Leclerq textures with it. With this combination sceney looks IMO pretty nice. I have right now just this one screenshot showing a bit of scenery from height. Definitely huge improvement from default overall.

If you want to fly local airlines there is only a few payware depicting the prensent fleet which consists mainly of Airbuses and Embraers.

If you fly recently flown types the selection is a wider one, MD-11, MD-80, ATR72 and BAe146 is a good choice.

If you go retro, try DC-2, JU52, Dragon Rapide or the newer Caravelle and DC-9.
