As84, what antivirus software do you have?

We can't rule out that you could have a virus that is currupting your system settings somehow that is affecting FSX. I would recommend downloading malwarebytes or some other antivirus software and start your computer in "Safe Mode", than scan your entire system for malware.

Yes, I have an antivirus software (MalwareBytes), and they didn't told me anything about a virus at all.

I have one more thing you could try, however, at this point guys Im sorry to say that we have probably given you the best answers we can over a forum.

One more thing you could try, is making a new user account on your computer, and try playing FSX on the newly created user account. If the problem is not fixed, it is surely some internal problem that occurred from either a virus, or some update that didn't install correctly, etc...

Here is a great turorial on Youtube on how to restore your computer to Factory settings. In other words, like your computer was when you opened it for the first time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOXcMSAPCaA

MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP BEFORE.

Good luck.

That's really depressing to hear that. I gonna take some time to think what I'm gonna do next with my computer (probably following that tutorial...).

Anyways, I wanna thank all of you guys who tried to help me, giving me suggestions and advice. I'm definitely gonna make more use of the forum!

You guys were great and thank you for all your help, even though the problem hasn't been solved.

I really am sorry. I think we all would like to think that it is just FSX, but since you've re-installed the entire game, and it's the same is the reason why. Make a decision weather or not you want to restore your entire computer just for FSX... if you have massive amounts of personal data, I wouldn't recommend it. I saved up for a brand new desktop computer that is JUST for Fsx. I'm not going to put a picture on that thing, so if something similar happenes to mine, it won't be such a burden to restore it.

I don't use anything else very much on my computer. FSX and Google Chrome are the basics for my computer actually. I don't have a problem with fully restoring my computer, because it was already getting kinda slow and stuff. I think it's a good idea to have a new, fresh start.

That's good to hear. It will probably make FSX run faster, since you are un-cluttering everything.

I'm willing to bet a couple of beers on the fact that the language settings in Windows have a role to play.

Both of you have non U.S. English settings, and there is not a flood of similar experiences from the U.S. folks..

Reason I think this, is that in the European countries, numbers are shown with decimal commas,

whereas in the English speaking countries, a decimal dot is used.

Example: $10,000.00 vs Euro 10.000,00

If the base number system is damaged, you would get incorrect interpretations of all

kinds of things in FSX.

I do not know if changing the language settings as a test will help, but it might be worth a try..

Tried it, nothing changed. Good guess though.

I and a couple of others with European settings had the excat same problem and it is fixed now!

As mentioned earlier in this thred you need to change your country settings in windows, I chose English ( USA) went to addition settings and changed the decimeter from comma tod dot ( . ) restart you pc load fsx make a fresh and new IFR flightplan, and the problem is solved...

Windows changed the . To , at EU settings and fsx reeds cordinates and elevation in "dot" so when suddenly its replaced with ( , ) it has no chance to reed it proberly.

Best Regards Martin

Can you make a step by step guide one how to change your language settings in Windows 7? I don't want to make mistakes, you know.

Go to the Control Panel>click on Clock, Language, and Region>under Region and Language, click on Change Location and select the appropriate language.

Best regards,

Jim
