The end of the road

Featured Replies

Got ya,

One of my favorite places in Hawaii, Ke'e beach, Kauai.

We once had a timeshare in Princeville some years ago. Loved to drive to the "end of the road". And I mean virtually "the end of the road". It just comes to an end because it runs into the formidable Na Pali coast. It ends at a dirt parking lot. This also is the beginning of the Kalalau trail head. A very interesting hike to some beautiful scenic vistas, hidden falls and very secluded beaches. Any way just a short walk from the parking area is Ke'e beach. Been here many times, swimming and snorkeling is fantastic.

Start at Princeville airport and fellow the Hwy north along the coast until the road comes to an end. I used the Carbon Cub and water skied up on the beach, exited the aircraft and walked up to where the road come to an end. Just as I remembered it, but no dirt pot hole filled parking lot. I walked back to CC and took off across the beach into the water and did a water skiing lift off. Flew back to Princeville and landed. Check it out.

This must be "post something bizarre day" (not you, of course, Air1).

Nice report and pics... hopefully a place to see one day if I ever get back to the Islands.

I love that cub. Whenever I go back to flight and get in that thing I just smile.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.
