Hey everyone, i dont know if anyone else has experienced this or not but, i am having trouble getting my numbers ( i.e. altitude, headings, vertical speed, engines, ect) to show up on my MCP panel, the HUD panel and the MFD's. I have uninstalled both the PMDG and FSX and reinstalled both. Everything worked fine at the time of purchase but i cant figure out what went wrong along the way! Ive read the instructions on how to start up cold and dark and followed everything as i was told but i cant get my numbers to appear. my display settings are fine. the FMC works fine, i can see everything on that too. any suggestions? plz help. and thx in advance!

No. I remember reading about a similar problem in another post. It's a problem with the fonts, I would submit a support ticket to PMDG to obtain the right fonts. I think they should send you a file.

Ps in case of a pirated version the MFD and other gauges are not installed and are substituted by a sticker reading "removed for maintenance" or somethig similar.

I had this issue with my J41 after a recent reinstall. I just reran the installer in repair mode and the issue was fixed.

Windows 7 with installer not run in "Run as Admin User" mode?

 

I'd do the Repair mode thing as above. (and in Run as Admin)

open font folder in fsx and find the fonts with PMDG in the name- right click and reinstall them or register them . Something else to try.

Not near compt - going of memory - sometimes not very good.

Send a suport ticket as Matteo has suggested, its a font issue and pmdg will give you the correct dll to fix your problem

well guys, ive tried everything suggested here, even contacted PMDG about it and they thought it might be DirectX problem. ive downloaded the directx9 and still nothing. seeing as I cant get my money back on the product, anymore suggestions ,because im about at my wits end on this one.

 

I think i just may start crying.. :(

suppose you havnt made a back up of your user/data/roaming/microsoft/fsx folder at all than it be just a matter of just copying all the files back aagin is just an idea. Suppose you done the re install of the ngx

nope, i havent tried that yet actually, i'll give it a go...ive tried everything else so far...

OK guys! i am good to go now! kept in contact with PMDG and they suggested that I download SP3 for Windows XP....and it worked! now i can see everything on all my panels. thanks PMDG! and thanks to everyone here for all the help and suggestions..happy flying!
