October 17, 201213 yr team anyone else having this ... 90% of the time after gear down (after about 20 flights or so), copilot wiiliam is "not responding" to further flap / speed calls in the ngx. it is the time when cpu / gpu demand is high but then it is no issue for andy in the same situation. after we land, william can't wait to meet later (for a midi i suspect) never asking about "follow me" etc. i was hoping a fellow compatriot could perform when critical / required ... !! any comments ?? for now, cheers john martin
October 18, 201213 yr hmmm...havent tried the NGX for a while, I hardly ever use it anymore, but havent had any issues with the MD-11 or the A300. Have you used the DEL key for anything? it toggles comms on or off. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 18, 201213 yr Actually, along similar lines, have you tried hitting the ATC push-to-talk key when William stops responding? I'm wondering if the whole MCE application is hanging for some reason at those times. The reason I ask, I've been having a similar problem, only I've been noticing it as an inability to talk to ATC (PTT button on yoke doesn't trigger the "radio static" noise). If I alt-F10 out of full-screen mode back into windowed mode, things start working fine again. I'm still troubleshooting the problem to get enough info on it before reporting it properly to FS++. Not sure if it's related, might not be. But it's worth checking if it's just the copilot or the whole app, or if switching to windowed mode kicks him back into life. October 18, 201213 yr Commercial Member There are no differences between the various sound packs other than the recorded speech. The recordings don't live inside the main executable. They are just fetched at runtime from another dll. Things that can cause FO to ignore your speech... By default there are 2 keyboard keys which when pressed and held down, will suspend all MCE speech recognition. These are the <END> and <SPACEBAR> keys. You are advised to check that you don't have any FSUIPC MACRO emulating one of these keys via a joystick button. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
