October 17, 201213 yr Hey guys, I am on PC Aviator as we speak, and just bought the Pasped Skylark, and saw while still looking to burn some money, the MegaScenery X collection. I am hurting when it comes to scenery in California, and wanted to know if anyone using DX10 can say anything about its compatibility. I can't seem to find any info on their site about it at all. I am looking at buying these two. 50% Discount Bundle Deal: MegaSceneryX Hawaii, Las Vegas, Reno/Tahoe (FSX) http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=18273&cat=678&page=1 And also, MegaSceneryX: Southern California (FSX) http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=18819&cat=678&page=1 They look real real nice, and want to know if anyone has any comment on it before I pull the trigger. Here is to me crossing my fingers.... Thanks! William Sequeira
October 17, 201213 yr I am downloading now. I will let you know shortly. Couldnt pass up on the deal. Jamie Jamie Moses
October 17, 201213 yr Author I know. I think I will get it either way and just go back to DX9 for those areas if I want. You are right in it is a deal of deals. William Sequeira
October 17, 201213 yr Guys, I have the Mega scenrey Hawaii and have had no problems using in DX10. Good add on when it is on especially when on sale (IMO). October 17, 201213 yr William, flying now in DX-10 with the reno/tahoe pack and everything looks great. excellent purchase. Jamie Moses
October 17, 201213 yr Author Sounds good. Looks like it is a purchase then! Another question. Do you guys disable your autogen for flying in these areas? I hear mixed reviews as to weather or not it is mandatory, opposed to what is suggested. William Sequeira
October 18, 201213 yr All MegasceneryX's are DX10 compatible. I have them all, and all are wonderful. As to your Autogen, just leave it where you have it, (your FSX sweet spot). You might notice a small hit in frames but not much at all. I will say, expect a longer load time when starting FSX as it writes the scenery. Also with the Megascenery X, you will notice its a bit washed out but well worth the $$. On the flip side, I have FSDT LAX, Megascenery X SOCAL and now US CitiesX LAX. Flew into LAX in the PMDG MD11 with my Autogen set to dence the other day, no problems. Today, flew into LAX in the NGX but bumped my Autogen to Very Dence, bad idea. Got an OOM on final. So for me Autogen at dence is my sweet spot, (I did not hear FSUIPC warning me so I could bump AG down). Oh we'll. it happens. Like to know my limits and found it to day. But that also leaves me wondering if the NGX eats more MEM than the MD11. Pretty sure it does. And is it me or does the 24's look worse than the 25's in KLAX. I've picked up on this twice now. Weird. Anyhow. Enjoy your new Megascenery. You're gonna love it. Brett

I had suspected this was at play in the Windows sub-system, but had not yet encountered this explanation. Please keep up your helpful conveyance of selected tweaking info for the FS Community ! Gotta have at least 40MB on the C: - 100 MB is great, Brett, but put a 3 gig max on one of the hard drives - don't put the whole thing, as it still has to search for space, and it will search the whole drive. To do screenshots - use "Alt-PrtScrn" to shoot an individual window, so that it's legible when viewed with a large screen. I'm out for a couple of hours - back in a while. pj i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
