October 22, 201213 yr Hey guys! I am so pleased to join you in this forum! Because today I got my very first g3d.dll crash today while flying into Las Vegas with the PMDG 737NGX! SO, I installed the latest version of FSUIPC. But my question is, does it have to be activated to have the d3d.dll fix? Thanks, Summer1
October 22, 201213 yr I am almost certain it does not need to be registered for that benefit to be realized. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
October 22, 201213 yr Correct. The unregistered version does just as well as the registered version but since the developer was so kind in finding and implementing a g3d fix, many bought the registered version. Me included! I haven't heard of the g3d CTD into Vegas though and it must be known that the FSUIPC.dll fix does not work for every instance of g3d crashes. It mainly fixes the CTDs around FTX/Orbx PNW scenery. October 23, 201213 yr OK. Is it true that some G3d.dll errors are random? Or what was the cause? Missing objects in the scenery was the primary cause. October 23, 201213 yr [translated by Google] Excuse the ignorance, but what is this error? It arises only when installed third-party scenarios? I do not use third-party scenarios, only REx Essentials. Using FSUIPC, I bought my copy in the time of the release of NGX, I'm currently using the 4859 version, and whenever I hear of G3d.dll. October 23, 201213 yr It normally shows up when third-party software is installed (such as FTX/Orbx). You will probably never see the error if you stick with REX and you will probably never see the error with FTX/Orbx scenery is installed as long as you have the FSUIPC.dll installed. No guarantee though as computers are strange and can crash if your computer is not powerful enough or it is overclocked or the computer overheats. There are so many causes for this CTD, it's hard to define. Remember FSX is an old program running on modern computers and hardware on an operating system it was not designed to operate on. Hope this helps! Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
