October 26, 201213 yr Hi all, Seen some clips of this great add-on on you tube and I think you have me hooked! Great product! I just have a few questions before I do: 1. Now this may sound 'crazy' but I do prefer to do all the set-up myself, so would the product still function properly throughout the flight if I don't click the run pf button.2.Will I still get the announcements of the cabin during push back and throughout the flight even though I'm doing the buttons etc myself? 3. I have the fs dream team GSX. Does this function with this add-on? Many thanks, Kieren
October 27, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Kieren, Depends on the version, but the newer ones (like the Voice Control ones) don't require you to run the Pre Flight events. You can set everything up yourself. Announcements: Depends.. you still need to hit the trigger points, which are often tied to commands. GSX works fine with FS2Crew. Cheers, B. October 27, 201213 yr Okay, thanks. So with the voice control, what do you say? I've seen on you tube with the VC version, that you tell what the FO to do, is this optional? I love the atmosphere of the product, but I just like to go through the checklist myself. Thanks Kieren
October 27, 201213 yr FS2Crew follows the actual flows and phases dictated by Boeing, and you can skip them yes. As you work through the checklists and flows you follow the phrases and statements laid out in the real cockpit flows from Boeing - these are the key phrases that FS2Crew recognizes - you hit trigger points which move the app onto the next part. For example on approach calling landing flaps triggers the F.O to move on his checklist. You can't skip around mid flow (for example, you can't power up the APU and do electrical startup but then ask the FO to finish where you left off), but you can skip entire flows. For example if you wanted to do Everything up to before taxi checklist yourself, you can. You just click on the FS2Crew bar and move it onto the next phase. It shows you in the FS2Crew bar at the top of the screen the phase that it is on, or waiting for.
October 27, 201213 yr Yeah, I'm all for real world procedures. ' I just like to do all of the checks as I won't want the fo to do any checks. I like the real world prospect it gives to FSX. It's just I like to do the checks. I was just wondering if I could do all the checks my self, and still have all the extra fantastic features?
October 28, 201213 yr Commercial Member Depends on the version, but with the later versions like the Voice Control products you can skip the Checklists if you like using the arrow button and do the checklists yourself. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
October 29, 201213 yr Okay, thanks the voice edition is the one I will get one last question, is it possible if I operate all the switches but can still go through the verbal checklist? Thanks , Kieren
October 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member You could operate all the switches but remember that the FO will still flip switches at the same time as per his flows. So it'll be whoever flips the switch first - you or the FO. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
October 31, 201213 yr Ah ok, thanks for answering all my QA's and I shall consider what I shall do  Thanks again, Kieren
November 5, 201213 yr Commercial Member You could operate all the switches but remember that the FO will still flip switches at the same time as per his flows. So it'll be whoever flips the switch first - you or the FO. It's one big race in the flight deck. I think you will be more than happy with the voice version Kieren.
