Who keeps playing with the light switch?

I'm trying to have some very nice night lighting (shooting for something similar to XPX's night lighting) so I decided to enable the night lighting in Ultimate Terrain X (UTX). The problem is that it seems like someone keeps flicking the light switch on and off to make me urinate myself (street word for urinate is censored haha). LOL

Apparently, nothing can be done about it because you guessed it, FSX limitation.

Is there any other addon out there that can be used for 3D like night lighting?

Are you flying with DX9 or DX10? I think there's a difference and I recall the flickering lights from using DX10 only.

DX10 but I think it aldo happened on DX9 when I tried it a while back. Can't remember. Are you on DX9 and able to try it out? The lights will flicker on and off. Complete segments at once.

You almost made me think that your power went out at your house based on the title you put up.

Oh heeeeell no, Ben! I'm staying inside and my phone will be shut off. Days off, I disappear. If I get to play in this rain and wind, it will be tonight, since I'm working till 7am. Getting off just in time before Central VA gets hit. Now, if people would just stay home tonight! Don't make me work, people! hahaha

There was an edit to some shader files I think but I don't remember what it was

Do you have the latest version of UTX installed?

Yup, latest version.. At least that is what I want to make myself believe. LOL Can't tell you now because I'm working, but yes, I think it's the latest version. I wonder where is that shader edit. My system handles the lights without skipping a beat, so I really want to make them stay on since they look so good.

Something like this? I don't have any "experience" with the product, just remember the threads here in the forum;
