Hi Folks, Not sure if this is an MCE problem or not or whether i am missing something, but this has started to happen today.

 

When i start my flight NGX cold and dark (at any airport including a FSDT airport), Simon comes on and tells me he is my ramp coordinator today, so when i'm ready I call up Simon and ask for Catering. He answers positively and contacts dispatch, then i wait and wait and.......

 

After a while a GSX options dialog starts coming up every so often, but no catering. Finally if i get impatient, i hit #1 option in the dialog which is start GSX and immediately "deboarding" starts (which i didn't ask for), followed by a message from Simon saying, the catering truck is on the way, so i wait and wait..... but no catering.

 

Any ideas anybody?

Hi Rick, does that happen in every airport? the only time I had that happen was in an Orbx airport with a messed up AFCAD. You may also have a conflict in the key commands for GSX...when you say #1 option to start GSX...what are you actually choosing in the menu? the #1 option in the GSX menu is "deboarding"

Hi Will. I see what you are saying. I am miss reading that dialog then, because what i thought it was saying was:

 

#1 Start GSX and #2 deboarding, but in actual fact what you are saying is that this dialog is tell me to start GSX and then deboarding will commence?

 

Are the #1 and # 2 etc. options in the GSX dialog boxes option numbers, or number keys? because if they are number keys, that conflicts with ATC.

 

I actually used the mouse to click the option in the dialog on screen, which i don't want to do, i want to ask Simon via my headset, but when i do i get replies that tell me ok, but nothing happens until i get that dialog come up and i click it.

Forgot to answer your first question, I was about to say yes at every airport, but i have just found out that that would not be 100% accurate. Up until now yes, "including FSDT airports, but i just took a quick try at bringing up PMDG TUT#2 saved flight where everything is shut down at LOWI where i am using an ASE related scenery where after just getting into the Pre flight stuff, GSX just starts up all on its own and starts deboarding.

 

Either way, what i wan't is to start with an "empty" cold and dark aircraft and then start catering, boarding etc. As i said in my original post, everything seems to work ok. Simon introduces himself at the start and the red text appears at the top left of the screen, recognizing my verbal requests and Simon tells me it is goin to happen, but it doesn,t.

Just to let you know, currently there is a known issue at FSDT airports.

We have asked Umberto to provide a way to check that "YouControl" feature is enabled and he kindly obliged.

 

Since 29 OCT,GSX live update (see GSX release notes) makes it possible for MCE to check that.

 

It's now our job to update MCE accordingly.

 

Hopefully done this Saturday.

No worries there.

 

They are number keys.

 

However, MCE will detect if the ATC window is open, and will automatically close it before interacting with GSX menu.

Version 2.5.0.4 uploaded today should take care of the special needs under FSDT sceneries for both FSX & Prepar3D.
