July 14, 200421 yr I'd ask this question in the screenshot forum but as you know you have to be posting a screenshot and not a question. :-lol Why is there not a single screenshot in the forum of the much talked about Ariane 737NG? Hasn't anyone purchased it. Usually when a new aircraft comes out there are dozens of screenshots from proud new owners but it seems to not be the case this time. So folks. If you have em....post em.Willhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
July 14, 200421 yr If you check "the other" sites screenshot forum, you will see some external shots, showing some glaring model errors ;)CheersDan.
July 14, 200421 yr Maybe people are finally getting bored with endless 737s, LOL ... particularly when there are such good freeware ones about. Beats me why the payware boys keep building what we've got already.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP FleetDC-3 Airwayshttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
July 14, 200421 yr "Usually when a new aircraft comes out there are dozens of screenshots from proud new owners but it seems to not be the case this time."Perhaps the fact that there is a lack of screenshots speaks all that needs to be said.Greg
July 14, 200421 yr HOW MUCH???!!In this instance at least, I rest my case. When they get to the standard of Erick Cantu's work, I'll look again. But then again, I won't, I think; Erick's work is freeware.Really, for what is offered, that is WAY over the top, surely? Do people really pay that much for one aircraft, however good it might be? Must be potty ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
July 14, 200421 yr What Mark said. Eric Cantu's 737-200 with Richard Probst's panel (http://tinmouse.org) is one of my faves.
July 14, 200421 yr That answer is fairly straightforward. Systems; custom gauges; highly realistic cockpit environments; custom automatic flight systems.
July 14, 200421 yr It's too expensive Will. Not many people crazy enough to spend $90+ dollars on one aircraft, especially when there's a better alternative. If you want screenshots buy the plane yourself and then post them in all the screenshot forums. People don't have to buy everything that's put out. Especially something grossly overpriced... :-boom FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
July 14, 200421 yr Not taking one side or the other here, but I recently purchased Ariane's 737ng VCe at $60 USD. The flight model is very good and the overall cockpit experience is the best I've seen in a VC format. The blurry panels other have been complaining about can be overcome by setting the VC settings to ultra high and using the right viewpoints. Once you get used to this product it's really quite nice. I am currently working on a Fraps video capture to DivX of the entire startup sequence. I'll share it with the community when I'm done. As for the political issues I can understand most viewpoints. I've been purchasing products from Ariane for about a year or two and have been very pleased. I too do not like some of the things that went on in the past but I was willing to give them a second chance and have not had one regret so far. I still do business with other companies that have a checkered past. I own a BMW and like it a lot even though I would question some of their past business practices. I usually demand that companies do better and will stick with them if they do and if their products are worthy.Just my viewpoint.Best regards,Ken ________________________________ Ken B. July 15, 200421 yr In the absence of the video, why don't you add some screenshots to the screenshots forum? I think regardless of simmers feelings about the company, a good set of screenshots is always welcomed.-John

July 15, 200421 yr As promised, there are quite a few screen shots of the Ariane 737ng VCe cockpit views in the Screen Shot Forum. ________________________________ Ken B. Jackson - KSAT Private Pilot - SEL San Antonio, Texas
July 15, 200421 yr Thank You Ken, I figured I'd prod someone into posting some screenshots. I wanted to have a look, without paying $90.00 first. :-)Willhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
July 15, 200421 yr You're welcome Will. Remember the Ariane 737ng is now selling for $60.00 USD. Not very affordable for most but much better than $90.00 USD.Later, ________________________________ Ken B. Jackson - KSAT Private Pilot - SEL San Antonio, Texas
