Can an Eaglesoft Citation X 2 problem be solved here?

Featured Replies

I'm having an issue with the Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0. I love the bird. She is modeled great, and I kinda dig the Embraer mentality of the avionics.

My issue is when aligning for the LOC or ILS at any airport I've tried to land at. The LOC path seems to be off centre from reality. Always, it's offset. It makes low vis approach unable.

Also I'm having an issue with FSInn crashing my FSX with this plane. All my other planes fly perfect so it HAS to be the Eaglesoft, right? If anybody can chime in with a helpful comment it would be appreciated.

The Honywell Primus 2000 is unique in the CX2.0 and uses either default runway LOC/ILS Data or Navigraph LOC/ILS Data.

Navigraph uses newer and real world Data than Default FS Data. In addition your sim settings of Magnetic vs True can effect your results.

No it is not Eaglesft causing a sim crash w/FSInn.

Perhaps this fix will fix the FSInn issue - http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=51597. Regarding the LOC/ILS path.... did you set the correct course setting? You might also have to update your Nav data through Navigraph or Nav Data Pro. What airport are you trying to land at? Does it happen at all airports? If it is just one airport, then you might need to update the AFCAD for that airport.

Best regards,

Jim

Hey Jim,

I actually did some fiddling last night with the ILS and got it to capture properly at CYYZ. Maybe it was only happening at certain airports. The course and NAV set properly. Fingers crossed it was just the one airport.

I'll read the fix for FSInn and see what happens.

Cheers

Got up to date Navigraph installed. Proper heading selected in the sim always. Thanks. I'm going to try that fix for FSInn. If it works then you might want to consider an update with the changes that they suggest. I'll let you know.

I followed the steps on this thread http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=51597 and was able to fly three consecutive flights with FSInn and the Citation with no troubles at all. I call that a fix! You should really look in to making the changes on the thread a part of your next update as many users have this same issue.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reminder. As I recall this used to be in our support forums and is in fact now in our CX.20 Support Forum Knowledgbase for registered forum users http://www.eaglesoft...c.php?f=8&t=304

Actually, the bug is in FSInn... not the Eaglesoft product.

Most likely, but I could guess that we won't be seeing an update in FSInn anytime soon...might be easier just to modify the Citation. No?

Easiest is to direct FSInn users to our own forum post which allows users to make the change themselves.

OK, I've actually tried getting access to the forum but still waiting on an activation. Can you expedite?

The Citation X makes FSX crash 99% of the time. It's getting close to me getting a refund because it's un-flyable like this. I need it fixed. I need access to the forums please. I don't want to give up the plane because it has potential.
