Shalom and greetings all my pals,

 

As all of you know from many previous posts that I have been using new laptop with FSX with SP1 and SP2 since last August, so far everything has been doing well and smoothly while I try to figure out perfect settings on graphic tab of FSX.

 

BUT since few days ago, I have been experiencing annoying hopping problem of planes. When I start FSX at any airport, any plane would hop few times like rabbit or grasshopper or kangaroo and then everything is okay.

 

Can I do anything to stop that annoying hopping? When I stop at taxiway waiting for clearance to resume taxi, it makes few hops during hold position on taxiway.

Yeah I really have this problem also.

 

It's not really that much of an inconvience, FSX still lets me fly peacefully. A solution would be cool, but my life does not depend on it

I had this problem at one stage and it was related to having my mesh slider in FSX set to 1m.

If you have it at 1m,try setting it to 5m, and report back.

If that does not work,then it could be an issue with the aircraft contact points.

I have this also, it can be really annoying!

Try to put your mesh complexity and resolution settings down a bit, resolution should be no more than 10 meters. That fixed it for me at least.

I see this rarely on hard surface but in water planes are hopping all the time and causing a resulting goofy looking splash. I just figure its a FSX issue that is unfixable.

Thanks all for kind suggestions. It was about 5 hops for first 5 minutes of each of past 4 flights. Last night's flight had no hops when I was using DC-4 from CYHK to CYCB.

 

What made it interesting was that the four flights were from various departing airports to amazing freeware Skysunjet KPHL scenery. Makes me wonder if this software is culprit for hopping?

you need to install Acceleration addon then it will go away..SP2 and Acceleration are NOT the same thing.. I know, I used to have fsx/sp2 then I reinstalled everything over to a big 1TB HD and I got FSX Gold (which is FSX pro and Acceleration) and now that does not happen.
