November 5, 201213 yr I use FS kneeboard 2 for charts. It's a great App. Tom Tom Davis I7 6700k 4.7 ghz, gtx 1080ti , 16gb 3400 ram, 32’’ 2k monitor, 1TB ssd, 500gb ssd, 250gb ssd, h115 water cooler
November 5, 201213 yr I use iGmap HD from FSWidgets, Garman G1000 PFD from Simaonic, and Foreflight on my iPad 3. Also use FSWidgets Simtaws and the same apps on my iPod touch, but am planning on replacing the iPod touch with an iPad Mini as soon as the Apple store starts shipping. I can barely read the iPod any more even with my readers on. The Mini will be perfect to go along with the regular iPad. Chris Chris Strobel KSNA
November 5, 201213 yr Author Thanks guys ..for my RW flying i do have some apps and to some point they are good for the sim but wanted to know what else was everyone else using... Image removed as image is no longer available.
November 5, 201213 yr Forgot to mention, I use the GPS sim cable http://gpssimcable.com/ with ForeFlight. Only down side is it doesn't charge. So are you getting the Mini to replace a regular iPad? What apps are you using for your RW flying? Always interested to hear what others are using RW. Chris Chris Strobel KSNA
November 5, 201213 yr Does the Garmin G1000 by simionic work with Pmdg ngx? http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART
November 5, 201213 yr Does the Garmin G1000 by simionic work with Pmdg ngx? Well sorta of. I'm trying it right now. It will fly a heading on auto pilot, and do a direct to, but its not working well in VS, its porpoising the plane :shok: Also after 180kts your in the red on the speed tape (its for a Cessna after all I'm sure it will fly a proc since its working in other heading modes, but to be honest I'm so burned out on the 737 I aint going to try :sorry: Gotta go back to my bush flying in my experimental Super Cub, works a treat with it. November 5, 201213 yr Author Chris i had used Avcaddy and garming pilot to name a few . I just sold my ipad 2 since i got a 4 to replace the 2 and the mini its going to be the "keep at home tablet ". Im also helping on the test of another app from this guys from california but its more of a corporate pilot thing .... Image removed as image is no longer available.
November 5, 201213 yr Commercial Member I use two of the Remote Flight apps on my iPad 1: RF Cockpit & RF Radio HD. I find them good enough that i wish i had a second ipad at times so i could run them both at once. However, i can't imagine them being any good on the ipad mini... Screen would be too small for them to be useful. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
November 5, 201213 yr Ahh shoot I just realized these new iPads have the new lightning connector which means we're sol if we want to use real world apps like ForeFlight with FSX/Prepar3d, that is till someone makes new GPS lightning sim cable (unless of course moving map is not needed). Anyhoo what kind of functionality would you like in an app for home simulator use? Chris Strobel KSNA

November 7, 201213 yr Interesting, I've been looking at apps for the ipad lately for FSX and was really hoping to find one that works like a remote control to induce failiures, monitor flight controls etc, for teaching cadets... So far, I did get FSMap.. Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
