+1 , if it give some fps gain i Buy one more 680

I did controlled tests with a member here owning SLI and concluded there is something blocking SLI boost, found in some VC cockpits. In external view it would shoot up, almost double, but in VC, the performance was the same.

Maybe Nvidia updated their drivers to reflect that, the only way is to retest though.

DanF, there is nothing much you must do, except set everything up according to my guide, boost the SGSS to 4x or 8x, and then simply turn the SLI on or off, measuring simply standing at some airport with the unlocked FPS.

Word Not Allowed, so you are saying SLI excels in FSX when in external view and no VC? Would running no panels also equate to running externals? I'm wondering since I run with no 2D panels, no gauges and no VC, maybe adding a second 680 would be perfect for me.

westman,

Then you should profit of the second card! I guess for someone building a full sized cockpit, with only externals, the 2nd card will do wonders.

Efrain,

Correct, those were the conclusions. We never tried 2D view without panels, but I'd guess yes.

If you do, be sure to make some serious measurements!
