FSX default scenery problems! HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Im playing: FSX

I have this problem when i starts a flight everything is working perfect until i i can see the arrival airport and that there is no buildings in the airport, only gate-arms!?!?!?

When im taxing in to get is the same as before, i can only se gate-arms no buildings. But today when i set the parking brakes at the "gate"(no buildings so i can't call it a gate) i wondered if it was the same at another airport, so i changed airport and yes, there was only gate-arms, no building. then i have some uk200 scenary, so switched to Gatwick uk2000 scenary, and there was no problem with that scenary?

I think there is something wrong with the defaults scenary.

I have sp1 and sp2.

Please help!!!! i'm very frustrated! :(

Thank you

BRGD.

Are you using AES or FSDreamTeam airports by some chance, or is this happening with pure default scenery?

Hey Word Not Allowed. :)

Thanks for replying.

Yes i have fsdreamteam, but i do not activate it before i am at the gate. And yes im using pure default scenary. Except for some few in UK. :)

Regards

William

I am having the same problem. Most recently, when I did a flight from Atlanta to Caracas, Venezuela, on the northwest edge of the airport, I see a small patch of land where there is supposed to be water. I hope there is an easy fix to this problem without having to uninstall FSX.

but i do not activate it before i am at the gate

Well, I do wonder how you are doing this.

The error you are describing is a typical problem of a pirated and unlicensed version (or so it is said on the FSDT forums). If you are a genuine user, I suggest you uninstall FSDT, remove the addon manager completely and see if FSX is working correctly then. I had this same problem some time ago when I had a licensing issue, I own all but Hawaii airports from FSDT.

If it's not solved, you might as well ask Umberto over at FSDT forum for help, he is the maker of FSDT.

Epopchock - are you using UTX and/or FTX sceneries?

I mean im pressens ctrl+f12 when i an at the gate, and no it's not a pirated version. I bought it for 3 months ago. But i will try to uninstall the addon manager and fsdt.

But dont anyone Think i have to do something with my fsx.cfg??

What is CTRL+F12 supposed to do, I'm not familiar, sorry?

I don't think it has something to do with fsx.cfg. You can however tweak it according to my guide.

It's there you open fsdt menu, fx. If you wan to deboard or board. Etc.

Oh OK, sorry, not using that. I have GEX and AES for boarding and deboarding.

Anyway, I think the best sort of help for this problem is Umberto himself: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php

I don't have fsdt airports, only gsx.

As I replied on our forum too, no buildings at a *default* airport can't possibly caused by anything related to our products and surely not GSX, since the only thing that can make a default scenery to disappear, it's another scenery .BGL and GSX installs no new BGLs at all.

Most likely, you have sceneries in conflict for your area OR you set your Scenery Complexity level too low, and on middle-levels, jetways don't appear, and on lowest levels, buildings disappear too.

Please help!!!! i'm very frustrated! :(

Hello William,

I just had this exact same problem. In FSX click on the "Scenery" option in settings. Make sure that you have the default FSX area scenery that you are flying in checked and turned on (ex. check mark next to "Western North America" or check mark next to "Europe"). After you check mark the default scenery areas that you wish to use just click "Ok" and then FSX will say it is building a database for the new scenery. Then close FSX and re start it and load a new flight. Now all of your terminal buildings should be visible.

You can also read through the topic that I started regarding this same problem here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/391252-aerosofts-las-vegas-xmissing-terminal-buildings/

I hope this helps.

Hi again,

NEWS!! About my problem.

I have detected the problem, but still not fixed. I have 2 more new infos. My problem only appears when it's night and dawn, or flying the pmdg737NGX. So I think it's something with my CFG???? (but not sure at all)

AND to rcpistonhead: It dosen't work. :(
