November 13, 201213 yr Just got it. Too bad, if it weren't for the aerocache notice, it would be a challenge since the lake is frozen.
November 14, 201213 yr Author I used the CC and had to circle to gain altitude. Taking off on runway 2 I flew over a neat bridge then started my slow climb to the left. I the flew west and slowly turned back to the east. I got to about 3k feet and headed for the cache. I thought it would be higher than it was. I agree that if the marker hadn't shown up, I probably wouldn't have found it on that frozen lake also. Collected the cache and returned to land opposite my take off. Good flight. Thank you. November 14, 201213 yr The lake wasn't hard to find, even frozen. The top down view is fairly good for this -- you just gotta know what a frozen lake looks like. Even without the top down view, there aren't many flat places for a lake nearby. I don't use the markers or start a hunt, just go out and look where I think it should be. Just a note: my aerocache count now reads 176 both in-game and on the web site. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
