June 12, 201312 yr Crashes after long flights (like 3 hours) can be due to overheating but I think the most important fix was the one suggested by B247NG to install the fix at the following - - apply this patch: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947246. If you did that and you are still getting crashes, then your system must be overheating OR a CPU/DRAM voltage setting is too high or too low. Since it does not appear you are overclocking, then it must be overheating. Reducing your fsx settings will reduce some overheating.
