he he he Sorry to tease with that panel! I really like the panel, but its just a photo I took of a Beech panel, that I was experimenting with some panel painting techniques. Problem is, this is all I have! No side views, no rear views. Just this. And so far all it has is my Commander gauges stuck in it! LOL! Scott

Scott's been after me for 2 years to do a Beech 18. I think he is trying hard to "nudge" me there. LOLWell, after the Dash 7 VC .... maybe. ;-)But first, we have to get this Shrike out the door. :-)

Less than a year after the Shrike was released, was at an airshow in Mohave airport. Couldnt believe that an aircraft this size, could do what Bob Hoover did with it.... Especially stunts he did with ONE engine...If I had the money, would have bought one that day.Sittin on the edge of my seat waiting patiently. :-jumpy

>Couldnt believe that an aircraft>this size, could do what Bob Hoover did with it.... Especially>stunts he did with ONE engine...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I was lucky enough to see R.A. "Bob" Hoover in Podunk, U.S.A. (McCook, Nebraska) two years in a row. Absolutely amazing flying by an absolutlely amzazing man and pilot. The the things he did with that twin engine Shrike Commander I daresay could not be duplcated by anyone with a high performance single engine aircraft. Anyone who flys, stood mouth agape at Hoover's performance. He also flew his beautuiful yellow P-51 Mustang on both those occasions as well. Once heard, the sound of that Rolls-Royce engine is not soon forgotten I can tell you that.I thanked him for coming to our little town and putting on such a show. I loved his hat too!Regards,

Yup...saw Hoover in '87 or '88 at the Dayton airshow. Think he called the routine "consevation of energy" One engine loop...no engine loop. It was really awesome to see this ga twin do all that! I was big fan of Commanders from that point on!Speaking of twin acros... Anyone ever seen Bobby Younkins' Twin beech routine? Just, way too cool!!ScottPS. have short video (1.22mb, WMV) of Younkins' Beech routine if I had a place to upload it to, for ya'all! LOL!
