November 22, 201213 yr Thanks Stephen!-nice to be retired-in all walks of life! Geofa, With apologies to the OP for messing up the thread, do you miss being in the center of the trauma and action around here? We miss you! Kind regards,
November 22, 201213 yr Author With apologies to the OP for messing up the thread No problem Stephen, Geofa had been around here as long as I have. I was gone for some time myself, MS Flight (such as it is) brought me back and here I shell remain.

Both you and Geofa joined AVSIM on March 8, 2002? :good: Was that some kind of special day, or just a coincidence? I was still lurking back then I think. Kind regards,

Kind regards, Actually, I know that Geofa was with AVSIM years before that. We were very active on the Pro-Pilot forum. I actually ended up having a Pro-Pilot party with a number of AVSIM members from across the USA (not including Geofa), at my house, just after we moved in, in 1999. We had drinks, and buried Pro-Pilot with a tomb-stone, where a lawnmower shed now resides. L.Adamson

No doubt that time frame indicates the startup for this type of BB software or when the membership was imputed, or something like that. Anyway, glad you guys go way back! Makes me feel like a young squirt. Kind regards,

Makes me feel like a young squirt. Kind regards, Yes, there was a certain time frame, in which all join dates were reset. I just don't remember much about it. But what I do remember, is that Geofa & I, didn't think much good, in regards to Microsoft's FS98. We didn't like it much. Sierra's Pro-Pilot was far better! Things did change though. In later years we beta-tested MSFS as well as numerous MSFS addons.
November 22, 201213 yr March 7, 2002 was the day when Tom changed the forum software. He has a tendency to do that every now and then just to get us off balance. We all had to re-register, but because of the rush, the system got clogged up and refused a number of registrations. They, including myself, were able to register the next day. Or the next day. Or the... Well, you get the idea. Tom started the member ids at 100,000 so I imagine he is member 100,001. But. all those with March registrations were here before that at the previous iteration of Avsim. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
