November 22, 201213 yr Hi I grew up with MS Flight Sim back when Bruce Artwick owned it, so I am giving away my age lol. I have all MS Flight titles, and recently found info on Prepar3d. I am downloading the academic version now and looking forward to flying it. I have been skimming around in these forums and found where some users are applying tweaks for Prepar3d such as affinitymask, HT setting off, UsePools etc. Where can I find a listing of how to set these tweaks or is there a wiki page for this simulator that has that information? Again, I have been out of it for quite a while and getting back into flying. Thanks for the help Tony
November 22, 201213 yr Tony, simply run the Bojote tweaks via the website, it will apply the tweaks you need. There are a lot of tweaks that are not necessary in P3D but applying them wont hurt, it is a far more stable platform. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
November 22, 201213 yr I moved to P3D in search of a simple, stable, reliable simming experience where I could just jump in, fly and enjoy myself. I put myself in the hands of Word Not Allowed and with a clean config file I did exactly what he said. And then I copied all his setting in Nvidia Inspector. And I've been very happy and haven't needed to change a thing. Except... Just one thing, Word Not Allowed. The recent thread about the setting for Anisotropic Filtering where you agreed that it should be Application Controlled. Your guide still says User Defined/Off but that change made a noticeable Improvement. Will you be updating the guide? Ian
November 22, 201213 yr Concerning a listing of most important tweaks and mods you should do, look no further: http://#####...hardware-guide/ I would most definitely agree with that. I have it downloaded, printed, and lots of notes in the margins. FSX is smooth as silk. Overclocked to 4.3 GHz with FPS near 40. Ivy Bridge, 560G SSD, Screaming fast RAM. Never thought my MSI 560ti graphics card would be the weak link in my system, but ..... Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
