November 23, 201213 yr Hello everyone! I not long ago bought the disc of microsoft flight simulator X deluxe and also the extension pack acceloration. When i in the main menu, i want to start the briefing for the mission, the first one. When i click on go to briefing its just crashing to the desktop, i mean yesterday it showed me a fatal error but now it just crashes and doing nothing. Everything exept the missions is working well, even the free flight. November 23, 201213 yr It died in weather.dll. Missions use their own generated weather, far as I know, so don't try running a real world weather program when you're doing them. This us just a wild guess I've gotten an occasional weather.dll error, but I don't fly missions. I almost always reboot before loading FSX, but that may just be voodoo. I suggest since you can't activate the program right now. Do a full uninstall from Control Panel -> Programs and Features, run a registry clean and reboot. Then do a reinstall, but NOT to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X", instead create a folder like C:\FSX and install to that folder. The reason is that installing FSX and many of its addons to "C:\Program Files\" causes a heck of a lot of problems because of security issues with Windows 7. One of them probably being a security permission to the weather.dll your error log shows. Also, always when running installers make sure you right click and select "Run as Administrator" (Even if you are part of the Administrators group. Doing so gives you "extra" privileges) BTW: Keep the UIAutomationCore.dll you downloaded in the main FSX folder, at all times. It solves many "Click" issues. Hope this helps. Ramón. November 23, 201213 yr Any idea, its a real disc with an real cd key You only have the basic FSX installed. You should install SP1 and SP2 OR get Acceleration which includes SP1 and SP2. The faulting module for your crash was weather.dll and that module was upgraded in SP2/Acceleration. Which version of FSX is installed? The basic or the Deluxe version. The basic version I don't think you can upgrade to SP2. You can download SP1 and SP2 from the AVSIM Library. After you finish upgrading to SP1, restart FSX and let it run once then close it. November 24, 201213 yr That is not the solution. FSX does not use MSV 2010 but maybe an addon developer used it recently. FSX uses MSV 2005 and 2008 and MSV 2005 is installed when you install FSX/SP2 and/or Acceleration. This MSV makes sure FSX was installed properly (Microsoft.net 3.5 makes sure FSX runs properly and manages the memory). MSV's, for the most part, are not backward compatible. You must have all of them installed as they were done when you first installed FSX. You get rid of the 2005 MSV and fsx will definitely crash. And, even though you might have the 64 bit OS, you will need to download the 32 bit versions of the MSV's. So you need that specific version of the MFC80 as stated on the FS Developer website. If the FS Developer solution does not fix your problem, then you will have to completely uninstall FSX, clean your directories of FSX, run a registry cleaner and make sure no remnants of FSX exist, then reinstall. I would use the following procedure - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx. In addition, Acceleration needs SP1 to MSV 2005. November 24, 201213 yr Author So, basically you want me to download the MVS 2005 and 2008, but 2005 is installed with acceleration so i need 2008. Then you recommend me to download the SP1 for the 2005 because of the acceleration. And if nothing is working to completely delete the game and to reinstall it. Am i right?

This link provides the solution to your problem. For now, do not completely uninstall FSX and reinstall. The first error in the OP was the weather.dll. It appears you got past that issue and you are now having the MFC80.dll crash. Let's hope the problem is fixed by going to this link at fsdeveloper.com I have provided. Make sure you get SP1 to the MSV 2005 too. When you have them installed, run Windows update to make sure all is up-to-date. I don't understand why you do not have the MSV 2005 installed though as that is installed when you install FSX but, if you move FSX from an old system to a system that would be a possibility. Look in your Add/Remove programs and make sure it is not installed. Also make sure you install the 2008 version as that is required for many addons.
