November 26, 201213 yr Officially called the Municipality of Anchorage. Not very difficult to find and a very interesting area to just fly around and see what you can see. Steve for Rick
November 26, 201213 yr Thanks for posting this Steve. I finally made it home from my trip and I am tired. At least now I have a good computer and internet connection to work with. It was tough using the on base wifi (which wasn't bad) and some families very poor connections to read the forum over the last several days. But now I'm back to good. I struggled with my less than great laptop to get the cache each day so I didn't miss any. I just couldn't post because of the poor connections. I'll log this one this evening or tomorrow morning. Thanks again for your help. Thank you. November 27, 201213 yr Aerocache number 189. This is the first time in a very long time that I used the point of interest marker. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
November 27, 201213 yr This one made 190 for me. I didn't have the marker on and had an interesting tour of Anchorage. It's kind of neat how the 3D buildings are interspersed with the photo type ground scenery in some areas. I just flew up and down the major streets in the CC waiting for the marker to come up and after a bit it did. Swooped in and collected it then continued with my sightseeing before landing at Merrill.
